Every Family's got one...

Yeah, every family I know has got one of those people that well let's say is ....a little misbehaved. A 'black sheep' or sorts. I really don't want to call them a criminal, but you know the one who's always up to something. Mine is Casey, yeah that cute little buck toothed kid who hugs constantly and smiles and goes to three different churches on most sundays. Yeah, she's borderline criminal. According to her school. Today I get a call from the principal saying that she wrote on the walls in the girls restroom in the gym. And wrote about another girl, something about not liking what she likes or something. So they marched my child and her sidekick (she had an accomplice) down to the gym and made them wash it off and then sit in the principals office during all of recess. Isn't that terrrible? At least she didn't threaten to kill anyone today.

update on Tiger

We're treating a urinary tract infection.........$72.00 later. Oh well.

Poor Tiger

Remember Tiger? Connor's cat who we got from a shelter (obviously found dumped on the side of a road somewhere) who subsequently got run over shortly after we got him (don't ask). We spent a small fortune fixing this cat's leg and doctoring his wounds. He recovered and then shortly after began sitting in the litter box day and night. Back to the vet again and a few short bills later we find out the dam thing has some kidney failure. Thank god there's no kitty dialysis. But we spent another small fortune on cat food that was special to his needs for the kidney failure....needless to say it didn't help. Well, now he's back to sitting in the box all day and night. When I went to change the box yesterday he jumped in it and we noticed he has blood in his urine. Bad sign. Back to the vet again today. I honestly don't like this cat but by god we've already spent a small fortune on this thing. He will live until he's 20yrs old if I've got anything to do with it. Wish us luck.

Happy Friday

I know everyone has busy schedules but I'm sick of mine. Another weekend with two birthday parties, two basketball games, squeezing in a workout or two, having Casey's y-princess meeting here sunday (and coming up with a craft before then), laundry, and trying to get something productive around this house is about to get on my nerves. What do you have planned? Happy friday.
Oh, my older sibling needs to blog more.

V-Day '08

It started at 6:00 a.m. recieveing a text from a friend in El Dorado, Ar. saying 'happy vd!'. Yeah, same to ya buddy, but not at 6:00 a.m.! Then Connor hugged me (gasp) at breakfast and said I was his valentine (I better be the only one). Awwww. Blake and I exchanged our usual card and coffee mug, me being the recipient this year. And off to work. I was very surprised no one told me happy 'heart' day like they always do thinking it's cute because I work in cardiovascular areas. It's not cute so I was glad. I had clinic today, which I hate, and my sweety knows this so I got flowers. Pretty ones, no roses. Pretty tulips and Iris thingy's. This meant a lot because Blake is the type to be thirty minutes late getting home the day of the occasion because he is one of those guys in line at hallmark getting alast minute card that's seal isn't even dry by the time he gives it to me. He thought ahead and I loved it. I guess he needed to since he's in Shreveport today and we won't get to see each other until tomorrow night. Oh well, happy valentines day everyone!

BS

Casey made a very important observation last night while we were eating pizza. A man came in the restraunt and sat down with his back to us. Casey leaned over and called it to my attention that he had a dirty word on the back of his hat. We must have been obvious looking for it because a lady at the table looked at us and very loudly announced it stood for Billy Sheldon. Not bullshit.

So whatcha givin up???

Okay, My little sis' has said before that although she doesn't actively practice catholism she still likes the ritual of 'Lent'.....where for 40 days we give something up, a 'sacrifice' of sorts during the easter season. My children have declared that they are going to give up Candy that is not chocolate ( Casey) and Connor is going to 'give up not giving up stuff'. Hmmm. Me? I think I will give up red wine.....my teeth will be instantly whiter in 10 days!!! Ha!!! In the meantime say hello to the older sibling joining our blog-world!!!! And hey, where the hell are you Sandra??? It's almost spring and I'm sure Blake and Ted will be riding their asses off soon! Join us!

calling all screaming sports fans

This has nothing to do with the superbowl. Very far from it in fact. I think I've mentioned before that Connor is playing basketball for his school this year. And his team is ranked #2 so far......until tonight when we beat the #1 team. The exception tonight was that Connor's team was missing two players so they had no relief. Each boy played the whole game. It was amazing. Connor played his little tail off! Other than Blake nearly getting thrown out in the third quarter, it was great and we screamed our asses off. Well, mostly I screamed my ass off. What's wrong with these other mom's? Have they never been on the worst team before? Do their kids always do that great? Don't think so!! If I find time to quit screaming and take pics I will do so and post some this WE.
Anyway, my baby did awesome and I can't quit telling him so. And if you care to join me they have another game this saturday and I'm not sure if I won't still be hoarse from tonight. I may need some help. GO WABBITS!!!!!!
