Casey is back from camp. Worn out. Connor left yesterday for camp. Wound up. So now I get to spend a week with Casey. I have no new lists for this week because I'm sure she'll keep me busy. I would have posted the picture of Joe trying to drag Little Kitty out of his house the other day but Stinkydog's pictures of her dogs were much more hysterical! Have a good week.

New List
Today is the last day to finish anything that was on my list to do with my 5 days off. So far I haven't touched a closet. I still have one puppy left here at the house and any new flowerbed is still untouched. I have however mowed the yard, trimmed the bushes on the side of the house, cleaned the leaves and sticks on the side of the house, and worked out at least twice (hopefully 3 times today). So my list was replaced with a new list since I did everything on it already. I feel much better and productive now. I think Connor and I are headed to the pool if the sun stays out. See ya.

Camp Casey
Casey left for this camp yesterday. Won't be home until Saturday afternoon. She didn't seem to have any trouble throwing her stuff on her bunk and headed out to show her friend from school where everything was. She hugged Connor twice and barely waved me off saying BYE! as loud as she could as if I couldn't get the hint. Something is up with blogger this morning. I'll post pics later.

Free Puppies
Well, Sis (top with red bandanna), Buford (middle with camo bandanna) and Joe (bottom with blue bandanna) made there debut on the street with a 'Free Puppies' sign next to them. Buford was adopted in a matter of 10 minutes to a LR police officer. I think he was going to rename him Ed Earl. Sis made her way to the neighbors house for 'fostering' for the rest of the weekend. I'm left with Joe who's screaming his ass off outside right now because I have him in a crate. I mean, hey, we have a pool back there!! So anyway, I may be at Petco tomorrow trying to peddle Joe off to someone! Anyone want a puppy?

- clean the upstairs linen closet out
- make another flower bed out back by the pool
- get rid of all the shop puppies (we're havin' a lemonade and puppy stand Saturday)
- clean the carpets
- wash my tahoe
- take Casey to Camp Winnamocka Sunday
- clean out Casey's closet after she's gone
So what are you guys doing this weekend? Anyone want a puppy? I plan to post pictures here soon of the puppies. They are so cute!

June 5th or "June De Fifth"
I should have posted this earlier. But hey, it's clinic day which means I'm on my feet all day dealing with 30 something heart patients in clinic, either setting up surgery or explaining why they still feel like shit 3 weeks later. BUT, today is a special day for a few close to me.
First, today, Aunt Mary Sue (Blake's side of the family) turned 79. She's on of my FIL oldest living sisters and the first to say that she knew I belonged in the family the first time she met me (heh, I bet they all regret that. JK!) Anyway, she and Sam would love each other. She has never ate a processed food. Everything is home-grown and made from scratch. When she used to keep Connor and Casey as babies she would feed them homemade soup that was pureed into babyfood until I told her she could feed them regular food. Even then it was fresh fruit from the garden, etc. She has a special place in my heart. She reminds me of our Aunt Genevieve, but I just know Mary Sue so much better. The kids called her today and sang Happy Birthday at the top of their lungs. She laughed and then talked to Blake a while. Happy Birthday Mary Sue! No one will top your cinnamon rolls (a secret recipe)!!!!
Next, my friend Kari met her husband on this day many years ago (obviously toooo many for me to remember). She had met him in the ER at BMC after hurting her arm in a horse riding accident. Kari remembered him and knew I worked at the same hospital. It wasn't long before Kari and I were sitting around (obviously drinking) and Kari and I called the hospital and asked for this guy. She froze when he got on the phone and asked her name. It was June the 5th. So she freaked and said her name was (in a french tone) 'June De Fifth'. Needless to say they met later and he fell for her and her craziness. They got married a year later and are still married. I heard from him yesterday. Still good and crazy after all these years! Happy Anniversary guys!
Finally, my boss turned 51 today. I've worked for him almost 7 years. He's very stuffy, so needless to say he was not happy when I texted him that 'I wouldn't embarrass him' today. It was fun to watch him shake in his boots all day. He's good to me, but needs a little shaking up every now and then. HAHA! Happy Birthday to the biggest nerd I know, even bigger than Stinkydog! JK!

Bees
I can't even begin to ask Connor to take a picture deplicting this moment. He will already have nightmares tonight so I can't ask him to relive it. If you don't know this already, Connor has severe anaphylaxis to beestings. So does his Daddy. SO, you will need to do your own little visual on this one.
Setting: Kroger gas station, Connor and Casey sit in car while I get out to fill car up.
Conversation: Me:It's hot guys so I'm gonna roll down the window while I get gas.
Kids: Okay
2 minutes later: Connor screams bloody murder, opens door to car and proceeds to eject himself out of the car with the seatbelt still on. He's still screaming bloody murder as I unravel him from the belt, move him away from the car and rescue Casey (who started screaming her ass off when Connor reacted).
Problem: There's a wasp in the car
Solution: I shoo him out with a croc, calmly tell all 15 people who ran over to my car that everything is okay. Please don't call 911. We are okay, really (Connor and Casey sobbing in the background) Really! We are okay. None of them looked convinced. I eventually talked Connor and Casey into getting back into the car.
It wasn't funny, but the last time I know anyone trying to eject themselves from a car with the seatbelt still on was Me.....on the way home from Blake's class reunion because I needed to get sick (obviously drunk).
