Oh yeah, we did it. Got the kids picture made in one of those 'old time' settings. Casey had to have this picture. She was on a mission to get one of herself while we were there and Connor joined her at the last minute. Branson was fun. Definitely more fun for the kids, but overall not bad for us either. We hit the Branson landing, which is much nicer shopping than what they have had in the past. The Dixie Stampede was a hoot. Great show. The Titanic museum was awesome. I had my doubts going in but it was great. I have the movie from several years ago and have always be intrigued by the whole event. The kids loved it too. We moved on to outlet mall shopping and searching for a place to take this photo (not hard in Branson, only about 50 of 'em!). We even found a place that looked like a winery, but wasn't. We didn't mind taking the tour and drinking their wine though! Then we went to the butterfly palace, despite our ticket mishap (Major event scheduled there and public not invited) we ended up going back to be a little disappointed. The staff was extremely rude and the butterflies pooped out by late afternoon and didn't do much. Then last night we did the Branson Belle Riverboat. Okay show to start (knock off Broadway show), the food was good. But then the best was Todd Oliver, the ventriloquist that made his dogs talk. We laughed our asses off. That was it. Three days if fun filled action branson style! Now I need to rest. Whew!

spring break
While Casey was at a friends house, I took Connor and several of the neighbor kids here today. Thursday morning Blake and I head out with the kids to this place. And come back Sunday to gear up and head right back to school for total chaos for the next 8 weeks until summer vacation.
Can you believe that? 8 weeks until schools out?

So cute
Did I mention we got Connor a cell phone for his birthday? Okay, he didn't really NEED one but he's getting to that age where if we left him alone and he wanted to go down the street or something it would come in handy. OR if I dropped him off at practice and it ended early then he could call and tell me so. OR if he wanted to call me at work and say he loved me he could (yeah, right). Well, anyway, he got one for his birthday. And now the cute part. Saturday night we get a call from 'Susan' in Connor's class. He's not home. So we text him to say she called. We never heard back so we figured he didn't care or whatever. Yesterday I find 46 texts from Susan since SATURDAY morning!!!! They have been going at it since Saturday and we didn't even know it! Mostly cute stuff. She sent some pictures and ring tones. Now isn't that cute? No? It is to me. They've only been 'crushing' since pre-k, now texting! CUTE! If this was Casey I'd have some concerns. But Connor? Nothing but cute.

Dear God,
I just want to ask a small favor. I need my son to turn into Michael Jordan before 5:30 today. I need his teammate Reid to grow six inches and never turn over the ball. I need his teammate Jack to get every rebound and scare the shit out of the tiny players on the other team. I need his teammate Nathan to play like he's going to get tacos for dinner if he wins the game (don't ask). And please make Thomas run like he's not constipated. If it's not too much I really need Andrew to make a few baskets, for his Mom, who screams louder than me at the games. And finally, Spencer could easily be mistaken for Larry Bird, so it would be nice if it really was him out there. Got it? Please God. Connor has never been on a #1 team. The championship game is tonight. Thanks.
Championship game tonight at 6:00 p.m. tune in later for results!

The pimpin' snowman
This was the final result after all our hard work this morning. The 'pimpin snowman'! We were going to do a bikini babe but Connor got embarrassed when I put the boobs on it. Why not? What else was going to hold the bikini top on? The kids played outside yesterday until they were practically frost bitten. This morning we rushed out to make our snowman before it all melted. I believe right now all the kids in the hood are out there throwing the remains of our pimpin snowman at each other. Playing some sort of baseball with snowballs. When we were finishing the pimp Coco ran out in the street and got hit by a car. I took him to the vet and he's okay, just pinched a few toenails off and some swelling. The doc said to have him rest and give an anti-inflammatory for a few days.
